Mr. Raghuraj Pratap Singh (born 31 October 1969), popularly known as Raja Bhaiya, is an Indian politician. He is an independent M.L.A. from his native local assembly constituency Kunda, Uttar Pradesh. He was cabinet minister of Uttar Pradesh of food in Akhilesh Yadav ministry cabinet and National President of Jansatta Dal (Loktantrik)
In the 2007 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, he was overwhelmingly elected from Kunda with a margin of nearly half the votes cast over Shiv Prakash Mishra of the Bahujan Samaj Party. He had stood as an Independent, supported by the Samajwadi Party. Mr. Singh has been graduated from University of Lucknow in 1989. He married Bhanvi Kumari Singh on 15 February 1995, with whom he has two sons and two daughters. Singh is an agriculturalist by profession. He also wields considerable influence over five assembly constituencies in the Pratapgarh region, as well as some in neighbouring Bihar. In election rallies in this region where he is present, the actual candidate may never speak or even be mentioned in his speech; "they are all shadows. Raja Bhaiya, alone, is the substance.". Mr. Singh is continuous MLA since 1993–1996, 1996–2002, 2002–2007, 2007–2012, 2012–2017 ,2017-2022 these are the notable achievement and support of local public.
Mr. Singh has formed Jansatta Dal (Loktantrik) is a political party in Uttar Pradesh, India launched by Raghuraj Pratap Singh, commonly known as Raja Bhaiya in November 2018 at Ramabai park in his silver jubilee celebration .There was a crowd of 10-12 lakh people in this ceremony.
Various time Mr. Singh was targeted due political jealous like POTA and jailed in 2002, DSP Zia UL Haque Murder cases and many more . But he got clean chit with full support by local public.
In terms of social empowerment number of examples in his Uttar Pradesh, any cost and level of person easily approach with Mr.. Singh and he always ready to solved problems on the spot. He believes that better to solve problematic matter in healthy way in village than matter in court which is just only wastage of money and time. In the term of social service few are examples in November 2019, Singh announced b which is obultng of all the treatment related expenses for a six year old cancer patient named Vidushi from Pratapgarh district she was suffering from blood cancer in which P.M.O. not able to help after given various written request in that case immediate Jabsatta Dal ‘s district president of Pratapgarh visited personally and given a help of a sum Rs. 51000/- (Fifty One Thousand Only) with assurance full support in treatment by Mr. Raghuraj Pratap Singh.
Every year since 1993, Singh organises group wedding (saamuhik vivah) of hundreds of those girls whose family can't afford marriage expenses which started with just only 25 couples in 1993 now in 2017 it reached 101 couples in 2017 it is great contribution towards society.
